Ellington Court, Southgate, London

MBL undertook the vertical extension of Ellington Court, a 1937 apartment block on a Design & Build basis for its client Savills. We built 12 new apartments on top of the existing three storey apartment block.  A steel based timber frame building provided the structural strengths for the extension. Furthermore, the works involved installing a new water tank servicing the entire building.

The 36 apartments in the existing building remained occupied throughout the project. So we took great care liaise early with the tenants and keep them informed during the project. Our dedicated community liaison officer minimised the disruption for the tenants by managing delivery times, material storage and lifting materials overhead.
