Michael Brady Ltd was appointed to deliver the conversion of two office floors into 18 residential apartments within an occupied five-storey building on Finchley Road, North West London. This logistically complex project required careful coordination to minimise disruption to existing tenants living above and below the construction zone.
The scheme involved extensive internal reconfiguration to create modern, self-contained apartments, along with significant upgrades to the building’s utility infrastructure to support the new residential use. MBL managed the complete replacement of the lift system, with two decommissioned lifts removed and replaced by a single, modern installation to improve building access and efficiency.
Working in a live residential environment, the team took a considered approach to ensure the safety, comfort, and uninterrupted daily routines of existing occupants.
