With extensive experience in Grade II buildings and high-end house refurbishments, MBL was the partner of choice for this challenging residential project. We lowered the basement and skillfully extended the roof and side elevation to create 7 floors in this stunning property. A full refurbishment was also undertaken, with new Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) services throughout.
The home extension created the space for luxury amenities. The MBL team installed a professional kitchen, a bespoke Spa and Jacuzzi in the basement, a new cinema and cigar room, wine cellar, as well as a new passenger lift and dumb waiter. The masterpiece is an awe-inspiring suspended stone staircase from the basement to the 5th floor, with polished plaster walls.
This project involved working closely with Grosvenor Estate and Conservation Officers to ensure the works maintained the local and historic feature whilst also lowering the existing basement and new rear and roof extensions.
