Michael Brady Ltd is proud to have delivered the full refurbishment and transformation of a 16th-century church into a modern Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. This exceptional project combined careful heritage restoration with high-spec functionality to create a nurturing learning environment.
The existing building, originally a historic church, underwent extensive internal and external works to meet the needs of its new use, all while preserving the character and fabric of the listed structure. The project included a complete M&E upgrade, soft finishes throughout and sensitive repairs to the external facade, carried out in line with conservation requirements.
Internally, the design focused on creating a supportive and accessible space for students, with high-quality finishes that were durability and welcoming. Externally, the original stonework and detailing were retained and restored, maintaining the building’s historic presence within the local community.
Nazareth House now stands as a unique educational facility - a blend of old and new. MBL is proud to have played a role in delivering this one-of-a-kind project.
